This Reviews for Samsung UE32EH5000 32-inch TV

I purchased the Samsung UE32EH5000 from Amazon after reading a number of excellent reviews on the product and I have not been disappointed. The television itself is not at all heavy - a major consideration of mine considering that I wanted to have it mounted on a plasterboard wall in my bedroom. Colours are vivid (I cannot see any dark shading in the corners of the screen that has been mentioned by some other reviewers), and the 32 inch screen is just a perfect size for a bedroom. I would not hesitate to recommend this product - the picture is just great, I have easy access to
the freeview channels, the remote is user friendly and the overall cost of it does not break the bank.

I bought this tv to replace a 32 inch Sony which is destined for a life in the bedroom instead of the lounge.I took a trip to comet just to try and find a nice budget tv which had freeview HD,watching the football lately has really highlighted the differances between SD and HD,also it had to look nice,be 40-42 and be as energy efficient as possible.Loved the look of it and despite the salesman trying to sell it me there and then for which i knew was in stock i resisted as whilst in store i looked on Amazon which was around £34 cheaper.

Anyway product arrived next day(next day delivery)stand was easy to erect,5 minutes, put it in place tuned it in,lovely picture and the sound was pretty good too(The sony which it replaced had a terrible sound and picture at first, had to tinker a lot with the settings to get things better and even then not a patch on this)Its a lovely looking set too.

The remote control was very responsive and very compact(although the batteries supplied were either dead or faulty!)when i press text it instantly comes up wheras on my last couple of tellys(both sonys) it seems to take a few seconds.

I guess my feedback for Samsung so far would be,its a shame the stand is'nt a swivel type or have the ability to change the angle(Its no biggie but sometimes that does have its conveniences)
Other than that i cant fault it really, early days but for years of being a Sony man am now going to be looking at Samsung tvs first before considering others.

Yes, it has HD Freeview built in!!is this a Samsung secret??
Bought this recently as my old LCD Samsung that I had for about 7 years decided to put a black band right down the centre of the screen & I decided to switch from LCD to LED.
1st impressions: it's all screen, apart from about 1/2'' of surround/border-looks good. Doesn't get as hot at the old LCD TV, you could use it as a griddle after a couple of hours, so is using much less power. In fact there is a small screen that appears with a pointer that shows you how much less power you are using...
Picture is excellent, it has HD Freeview tuner/channels built in, & it does look impressive when you change channels from non-HD to HD.
Has many features...too many to mention, remote is quite small compared to my old Samsung remote, the set it a lot narrower than the old set, but not the 'wafer thin' versions that you see now.. which does make the sound not to bad to be honest(bigger speakers?), but I have now set it up to play through my home cinema via a optical lead-works very well.
More than pleased with this TV-don't know why Amazon & Samsung don't push the fact that it has HD Freeview built in??

  1. I just bought this television to replace my old SD television in my bedroom. Before this I could only get HD in the bedroom with a big clunky receiver in there, so I had never thought of upgrading it. A few weeks ago though I upgraded to the Hopper from Dish, which gives me the ability to get HD and all my televisions without clunky receivers in each room, so I took advantage of it and got a beautiful television to go along with it. A coworker at Dish also told me about another great feature on the Hopper that I didn’t know about, the Picture in picture, now when the NFL regular season kicks off I will be able to watch the Bronco’s and the Red Zone channel at the same time, and I will never miss the best play of any game and on one very nice Samsung television.
